Hawaii by James Michener I Loved this book. I listened to all 60 hours of it and I was so sad when it was done. The way the characters and the history is interwoven is a chef’s kiss! FYI. This book was written in 1959 and so some of the language and concepts are very dated.
“Timelessly, relentlessly, in storm and hunger and hurricane the island was given life, and this life was sustained only by constant new volcanic eruptions that spewed forth new lava that could be broken down into life-sustaining soil. In violence the island lived, and in violence a great beauty was born.”
― James A. Michener, Hawaii
LaBubu Rosary at Narnia Vintage I am not a LaBubu person, but maybe Molly at Narnia has made me one, just a little bit. I have been eyeing these fun necklaces from afar, but once I put it on, and she said it’s a symbol of playfulness and curiosity, with a little mischief thrown it I refused to take it off. I am stopping myself from adding this stunning jade, tigers eye, and phosphosiderite rosary and making myself a little LaBubu devotee!
Tivoli TIle Works These one of a kind mugs!!!! GAH! Ryan will find out while reading this that I will be bringing three home!! I broke one so I had to replace it! These beauties are available at The Corner Store in Tivoli!
Judi Rosen T Shirts This is one of the only places I have to hit when I am in New York. I am never disappointed. These t shirt are butter soft and well cut, and currently on sale!
The New Wuthering Heights Yes. Yes. Yes. I don’t care that it isn’t novel accurate. Still Yes to all of it. It’s so pretty and emotional, and those are my favorite things.
Judi Boisson Rugs Okay here you go, this is my absolute secret obsession. I cannot stop ordering these rugs, and quilts. They are handcrafted by the late Judi Boisson, and now sold by her granddaughter. I have an absolute problem, and I would like to say I am going to stop, but I don’t think I am!
Lani’s General Store The palaka mini tote, I mean, do I even need to write anything? I got level 10 excited when I stumbled upon these little bags.
The Inciardi Tiny Art Vending Machines I have always been the type of person who saves the best for last, the last hug, the last bite, and so here we go again. We can thank, or blame, Sarah Fraunfelder for introducing this magical machine to me at Bartlett Farms on Nantucket. THIS IS MY VEGAS!! You put in one dollar in quarters, and a little tiny print comes out. You don’t know which one you are going to get!!! And repeat to delirium and the cutest little art collection you have ever seen!! The machines are all over the country! Who wants to go on a little adventure with me to wake up their inner child??? Anyway if you need me I’ll probably be doing this for a while.
